I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Boulder, Colorado. I am 61 years old. I have a background in basic research in biochemistry and neurophysiology. Specialty interests include posttraumatic stress disorder and mindfulness-based and analytic psychotherapy.

I live in Boulder, Colorado with my wife Julie and my dog Pepper. Whe have two adult children and 5 grandchildren, all living on the East Coast.

My interests include not only the subjects of this blog but hiking, backcountry skiing, windsurfing, and woodworking. I enjoy designing and building custom frames for my photographs.

Also I like amoeba and high voltage transformers.

    I found the topics you address on your blog to be very engaging and I hope you will continue to post new items. The big thing at this point is to get more traffic so that you get more comments.

    I don’t know the current procedures for submitting a site to Google but that would be a start. Also, I provide links to my websites in the signature block of every e-mail I send to friends, customers, and business associates.

    There is a typo in the 2nd sentence of the 2nd paragraph on your “ABOUT” page.
    There is another one in one of your essays but I neglected to make note of where it is.

    Given your interest in PTSD I trust you have seen Waltz with Bashir.

    I’ll check back for more periodically.

    Was the typo my use of the word metric? I was using it in a mathematical sense and I just provided a link to a definition.

    I have not seen Waltz with Bashir. I put it on my list just in case I don’t make it to the theatre.
